WHAT is Pilates?
Pilates is grounded in the 6 core principles of:
BREATH, CONCENTRATION, CONTROL, PRECISION, CENTRE & FLOW.
Pilates exercise are performed with an emphasis on BREATH to facilitate a deeper connection and awareness of the body; allowing for mindful movement.

Pilates encourages CONCENTRATION on the CONTROL and PRECISION of exercises, ensuring safe and effective execution whilst engaging specific muscles.
Practicing Pilates actively helps to strengthen your CENTRE (core), reinforcing your ideal posture and reducing your risk of injury.

Pilates is a FLOW of movement and breath. It is a dedicated practice that allows you space for yourself.

Through incorporating functional movement patterns such as: Squatting, hinging, pushing, pulling and rotation, Pilates will enable you to perform daily tasks with increased ease and efficiency, whilst reducing your stress levels & strengthening your muscular control.
